ZDNet.de: „New Market Potential Analysis for Pre-Owned Software“

In former times, everything was better. Probably, that is what some software vendors think. In the past, clients who needed software contacted them immediately. More and more users are recently looking for alternative options of purchasing: The keyword is ‚pre-owned software’.

ZDNet reports that the management consultancy MSG analysed the market for pre-owned software and awarded it an enormous potential.

One of the leading traders is the preo Software AG whose processes that are certified according to ISO. „According to MSG, primarily Microsoft software is traded, in particular system software and Office packages. In the last two years, the trade with pre-owned software expanded to include other products“, reports ZDNet. Other products will become more important in the future.

MSG certifies the sector the potential „to become an important part of the trading sector“. The management consultancy awaits the breakthrough in 2010/2011 – that is the time in which the Federal Court of Justice will give a judgement that should bring legal security for all parts of the licence transfers.
