ZDNet: „Microsoft Gives Tips for Secondhand Software“

Surprise, surprise: Microsoft is in a conciliatory mood concerning the dispute about the trade with pre-owned software.

For the first time, the possibility of purchasing pre-owned software is referenced – under certain conditions. Microsoft states that a transfer is only legal with acceptance of Microsoft; but this statement is legally disputed. To reduce risks, Dorothee Belz, director law und corporate affairs of Microsoft Germany, suggests to choose a trader who actively integrates Microsoft. ZDNet names the preo Software AG as a possible trader: At the bargain and sale of pre-owned software, preo „focuses on the cooperation with the vendors.“
