Hersteller Nachrichten: „Halving IT costs with pre-owned software licences“

Reducing IT costs – that is a big issue, especially in the economic crisis.

Hersteller Nachrichten reports that in many companies there are possible savings up to 50 percent. „After analysing the needs and the existing licences, you have to decide which software gaps can be filled by low priced used software, which form of licencing makes sense and which backlog of software can be selled“, explains Boris Vöge, executive of the preo Software AG. Buying and selling pre-owned software may save up to 700 Euro per employee in a middle-class company.
