E-Interview with Boris Vöge, executive of the preo Software AG, concerning the Virtual Roundtable „Market For Pre-Owned Software: Discussed Controversially, Saved Consequently“

IT is expensive. About 67 billion Euro were spent on hardware, software and services. The quota of software is about 22 percent. A possibility to save money offers the trade of pre-owned software. Concerning that, competence-site.de interviewed the expert Boris Vöge, executive of the preo Software AG. He can explain precisely the rules of the trade.

Vöge thinks that transparency is the essential key differentiator from the competition of the pre-owned software traders. „This refers to the disclosure of the origin of the licence“, explains Vöge. Only with a complete „chain of rights“, the customer could be sure that he can later sell the licences on the market. At preo, there is no transfer realized without this disclosure.

The advantage for companies is clear, says Vöge: „Both sale and buying pay directly in the liquidity account of the company.“ And a higher liquidity often means that the competitive  position is raising.

User should not be intimidated by the software vendors. „In 2011, for companies software remarketing will be as normal as hardware remarketing“, describes Boris Vöge his future prospects.
