CRN: "Big Acceptance For Pre-Owned Software"
On behalf of the preo Software AG, Vanson Bourne surveyed 100 deciders in German companies concerning their future IT investments and came to a clear result: To realize as many IT projects as possible, in spite of being short of budgets, alternative ways of purchasing become more and more attractive.
While this option was taken into account by only 18 percent of the deciders 2007, now there are 60 percent in companies with over 3.000 employees. At a middle-class company, savings about 350.000 Euro are realistic, says Boris Vöge, executive of preo Software AG.
