Computerwoche: „Second-Hand Licences – Not Dubious Any More“

The trend is proved: According to a survey from preo and Computerwoche in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, 95 percent of the interviewees think that software licences should be resold like every other fixed asset.

75 percent take buying and selling of used software into consideration for their own business, reports Computerwoche. In spite of the great acceptance there are problems: Microsoft fuels the uncertainity concerning the legal status, the positions of the traders and the software producers become entrenched. But nobody should be intimidated by that. preo defends itself and has already effected a preliminary injuction against Microsoft. The trade of licences with preo is one of the safest and most transparent ones at the market.
