Computerwoche: „Saving Costs With Second-Hand Software“

Computerwoche exemplifies with many case studies and statements how smoothly it is possible to save costs with second-hand software, and that primary scepticism always stayed baseless.

Many companies realized that the possible savings are enormously high and that they act in compliance with the legal framework. According to a survey from preo and Computerwoche, 95 percent of the interviewees approve the trade with licences; software should be handled like every other fixed asset. The Berliner Volksbank is happy: They saved about 750.000 Euros in a used software project with preo Software AG. Examples from the IT practice of notable companies prove that pre-owned software is in place and that the trade is a benefit for all involved parties.
