CIO: „Pioneers of Secondhand Software Establish Theirselves“

It is a new, small world, that develops. Specialized traders sprout out of the ground of unused software licences, who buy software which is not neccessary any more and sell it to other users at low prices.

Experton Group analysed the market and identified the preo Software AG as one of the three most important traders. „preo Software deals with the bargain and sale of pre-owned software licences and mediates during the transfer. The company adresses the middle class just as bigger companies in Germany. It tracks a strategy of expansion to Western Europe, which should be raised by cooperations and joint ventures“, reports CIO. An important attribute: preo involves the software vendors.

In summary, the market is growing continuously. „More and more software service providers and traders realize the possibilities which are offered by the business concept“, says Axel Oppermann from Experton.
