Behörden Spiegel: "Software-Remarketing"

Software remarketing and pre-owned software – for many IT deciders, these are foreign words. But nevertheless, hardly any administration or company can abscond from the challenge of the IT – and the costs involved. Software remarketing is an economically interesting alternative to disburden the IT budget.

Budget deciders can sell software licences that are not required any more to a specialized trader, who can offer these unused licences at a low price to other customers. Seeing software as a valuable article produces a lot of saving potentials. Judicial doubts are dispelled in practice at the latest: „Especially important for us: a clear and legally binding organisation of the transfer. That worked very well“, explains Heinrich Freese, IT manager of the Chamber of Agriculture Lower Saxony and customer of the pre-owned software trader preo.
