Pre-Owned Software Produces Liquidity
A new survey on the topic of „wrong licensing“ presents an alarming image: German companies calculate the position far too optimistic, even though financial potentials in the area of licensing can be exhausted optimally with the right partner.
Experts estimate that only one third of the German companies are licensed correctly. In a survey of the „Software-Initiative Deutschland e.V.“ only 14 percent have estimated this fact correctly; most of the respondents were more optimistic. The bigger part of the 100 interviewed executive managers and specialists from the IT sector thought that the majority of the companies is licensed correctly.
This wrong estimation of the IT specialists shows how liquidity is still thrown away because of the lack of knowledge concerning software remarketing. Software is an asset like every other, that should be selled when it is not needed any more.
